Day 1: Windhoek

On arrival at the Windhoek International Airport you will be welcomed by our company representative and transferred to Namibia’s capital city, Windhoek.
Windhoek is often described as a city with a “continental” atmosphere due to its architecture (historical buildings dating back to the German colonial rule), cuisine, culture, dress and educational institutions. Windhoek portrays the color, sounds of a modern African city with its displays of African drums and woodcarvings on the pavements, which contrast with the elegant shops offering sophisticated Swakara garments and Namibian gemstone and sidewalk cafes offering Namibian style breakfasts which can be enjoyed with a glass of sparkling wine or locally brewed draught beer. In addition to steak houses and coffee bars serving snacks, the city has a wide range of à la carte restaurants offering German, French, Taiwanese, Portuguese, Italian, African and Chinese cuisine.

Day 2: Windhoek – Kalahari Desert

After breakfast you will meet our company representative and transferred to Windhoek Eros Airport. Departure by light aircraft for your charter flight to the Kalahari region of Namibia
Overnight at Intu Africa Kalahari Game Reserve at Zebra Lodge, set in a panorama of open grassy plain, acacia woodlands and red sand dunes. A luxurious establishment offering eight luxury rooms and five suite. The desolate wastes of the Kalahari are the last home of the true indigenous people of Southern Africa. Intu Afrika offers a variety of activities in the vast Kalahari wilderness. Explore the ‘thirstland’ in open 4×4 vehicles and be seduced by the charme of an alluring landscape; get close to lions, oryxs, springboks, giraffes, wildebeests, zebras and other smaller desert mammals. Learn about our predator re-introduction program. Seize the rare opportunity of a sunrise or sunset walk through the rolling red sand dunes, led by a Bushman tracker, be intrigued by his desert survival secrets and hear the history of the ancient San people.

Day 3 & Day 4: Namib Desert

After breakfast and an early morning walk with a Bushman tracker, board your charter flight which will take you to the Namib Desert, spend the following two nights in the area.
Situated on over 46 000 acres of private property and bordering the Namib Naukluft Park, Kulala Desert Lodge lies in the heart of the Namib and offers magnificent views of the famous red dunes of Sossusvlei, as well as magnificent mountainous scenery and vast open plains. Twelve thatched and canvas chalets or “Kulalas” (Kulala in the Namibian language “Oshiwambo” means “to sleep”) with en-suite bathrooms and showers are set on wooden platforms to provide maximum airflow. For outdoor enthusiasts, mattresses can be moved to the rooftop to sleep under the stars from a private star gazing platform. The main lodge, with décor inspired from Northern Africa, has a lounge, pub, dining area and plunge pool, and offers a wrap-around verandah that overlooks the waterhole and provides a perfect location to view and photograph the desert sunset. Early morning guided game drives to the spectacular dunes; game drives and walks are also offered on the private reserve with incredible views, desert game and smaller desert fauna and flora. Another option, at an extra cost, is an early morning ballooning. Beginning at first light, the 60-90 minute balloon safari offers a truly unique experience to soar silently above the magnificent sand dunes and desert – with a champagne breakfast served at your landing site.

Day 5 & Day 6: Swakopmund

Board your charter flight to Swakopmund. After a leisurely breakfast continue via charter flight crossing the Namib Sand Sea on route to the coastal town of Swakopmund. This route includes a scenic flight along the “Skeleton Coast” viewing the “Edward Bohlen (1909)” and “Shaunee (1976)” shipwrecks and Sandwich Harbor. On arrival in Swakopmund you will be met by a company representative and transferred to your local hotel. The following two days will be spent in Namibia’s premier coastal resort town, Swakopmund. Founded in 1892 during the period of German colonial rule it served as the territory’s main harbor for years. Today this quaint town nestled between desert and ocean is enhanced by lush green lawns, palm trees and carefully tended gardens. There is a good selection of restaurants and coffee shops selling traditional German cakes and pastries. While in Swakopmund a guided half-day excursion may be conducted onto the gravel plains of the Namib Naukluft Park. This area is renowned for its diversity in landscapes, including the “Moon Landscape” formation and “Lichen Fields” and Namibia’s prehistoric plant species, the Welwitschia mirabilis. Alternatively you can enjoy a dolphin cruise from Walvis Bay.

Day 7: Swakopmund – Daramaland

Mid-morning charter from Swakopmund along the northern “Skeleton Coast” before crossing the fascinating geological formations of the Ugab basin. Arrival at Mowani Mountain Camp in the early afternoon.
Between the Ugab and the Huab Rivers in Southern Damaraland lies a vast and unspoiled wilderness; this area boasts magnificent desert sceneries, fascinating geological formations, cave art sites and a unique variety of desert fauna and flora. It is also the southern most roaming ground for the rare black rhino and the desert-adapted elephant. This is where you will find the Twyfelfontein Conservancy and the Mowani Mountain Camp. “Mowani” is taken from the word “Mwane, meaning “Place of God”. The Camp nestles amongst the boulders of this beautiful area on a high spot commanding distant views over the ancient landscape. Afternoon visit to the superb rock engravings at Twyfelfontein, an extraordinary outdoor museum a featuring over 2.500 Bushman engravings. A short stop is also suggested in this area to enjoy the different rock formations that have been formed by erosion over millions of years to assume their modern day shapes that are truly awe-inspiring. Mowani Mountain Camp consists of 12 luxury tents, all with en-suite facilities, decorated beautifully in East African style. Comfortably hidden in your own private hide-away with en-suite bathrooms, and of course your own wooden deck offering an open view of the wonderful Damara landscape. Discover the pool deck, lodged between the boulders where you can soak up the sun. Adventures and activities available at Mowani include guided nature drives in search of the elusive desert elephant and hiking through magnificent scenery.

Day 8 & 9: Etosha National Park

After a leisurely breakfast continue via private charter flight on route towards the southern boundary of the Etosha National Park. Midday arrival at the Onguma Game Reserve where the following two nights will be spent on a full board basis. Activities included: 1 guided walk & game drive on the Reserve, 1 game drive to Etosha National Park. Situated on the eastern side of Etosha, bordering Fisher’s Pan, Onguma Game Reserve is one of Namibia’s best kept secrets! Onguma Game Reserve has more than 34,000 hectares of protected land and wildlife, it boasts over thirty different animal species consisting of plains game including kudu, giraffe, eland, oryx, hartebeest, zebra, impala and many more roam freely as well as predators such as lion, cheetah, leopard, being common residents of the area. The Fort is unlike any other, the only one of its kind in Namibia. It is built in exactly the right spot to give guests stunning sunset views overlooking the beautiful scarceness of the Etosha Pans, decorated only with its wild animals and hundreds of Camel Thorn trees. Upon arriving at The Fort, you will be received by not only our friendly staff, but also massive raw walls, stunning stone cladded features and a huge tower with the views toward Etosha and Fisher’s Pan. The Fort will surprise you at every corner; a classical African feel combined with a touch of Moroccan and Indian flavors, characterized by a selection of the most beautiful antique windows and doors. Accommodation consists of 11 mini Suites and 1 honeymoon Suite, all situated adjacent to the Main Fort extending on both sides to the south and the north. Every mini Suite is completely private and about 50 meters apart from one another .

Day 10 & Day 11: Caprivi

A short flight takes one over Etosha National Park to the Caprivi region of Namibia and Divava Okavango Lodge & Spa where the following two nights will be spent on a full board basis. Activities included: 1 boat excursion & 1 game drive to Mahango Park.
Divava Okavango Lodge Namibia’s hidden wildlife paradise in the Caprivi where time stands still. Divava is nestled amongst majestic trees on the banks of the Okavango River a few hundred meters from Popa Falls. The Lodge offers an exquisite view over the Okavango River with excellent opportunities for bird watching. a small but very interesting reserve characterized by dense forests of Baobab; Omurambas, which are fossil rivers; open grasslands with acacia trees; and dry woodlands to the south. This reserve is populated by elephants, hippos, buffalos and crocodiles.Because of its rather higher rainfall in comparison to most other parts of Namibia, this region has agricultural potential for the cultivation of a variety of crops, as well as for organised forestry and agro-forestry which stimulates furniture making and related industries. In fact, the area is quite renowned for its production artisan wood crafts.

Mid-morning board your charter aircraft for the flight back to Windhoek International Airport in time for your outbound flight.
