Day 1-2: Matobo National Park

You will be met on arrival at Bulawayo Airport and transferred to the Matobo National Park. This transfer takes approximately 40 minutes.The Matopos or Matobo National Park became a UNESCO Natural World Heritage Site in 2003. It is situated among the magnificent Matobo Hills from which it takes its name. The area exhibits a profusion of distinctive rock formations rising above the granite shield that covers much of Zimbabwe.
Spend two nights at Camp Amalinda in a standard room on a full board basis including game viewing activities, a visit to Rhodes Grave and local brand drinks. The granite domes and castle kopjes of the Matobo Hills are among the most majestic rock sceneries in the world. Nestled in this unique range of hills is Camp Amalinda. Tucked away into an ancient bushman’s shelter, Camp Amalinda’s charm will leave an indelible impression on every visitor, its spirituality almost tangible. Some of the most majestic granite scenery in the world is found in the Matobo Hills. It is here that the hopes, trials and tribulations of the San Bushmen are recorded in the ancient rock art. Activities include rhino tracking, drives through the park and short walks to the top of the “dwala” where Rhodes chose his place of rest. Activities include also guided visits to the San Bushmen paintings and cultural visits to experience the “real” African homesteads of the Matabele tribe, an orphanage, a primary school and a rural clinic.

Day 3-4: Hwange National Park

Depart the Matopas for Somalisa Camp in the Hwange National Park. This journey takes approximate 3 hours and 30 minutes. Set in the heart of Hwange National Park, Somalisa Camp offers guests the perfect blend of old African charm and elegance. Tucked beneath an acacia island along the edge of an ancient seasonal flood plain, this camp has breathtaking views of the savannah plains of the famous Kennedy Vlei line.
Activities include guided walks led by passionate guides who will share their knowledge and love of the bush with you, game drives, bird watching, and evening spot lighting. The area provides guests with the opportunity to see a variety of plains game and predators including elephant, kudu, sable, the rare and endangered roan antelope, buffalo, white rhino, lion, leopard, and hyena amongst other wildlife species.

Day 5-7: Mana Pools National Park

After a delicious breakfast you will go on a game drive through Hwange National Park to Manga airstrip, where you will catch your charter flight to the Dandawa airstrip in Mana Pools. The flying time is approximately 2 hours. On arrival at Dandawa you will be met by your African Bush camps guide and go on a game drive to Kanga Bush Camp where you will spend the next three nights. Kanga Bush Camp has six tents set in the heart of Mana Pools National Park. The main area of the camp is on decking overlooking the pan. A relaxing lounge area under the shade of large trees overlooks the splash pool and pan. There is the choice of taking game drives in open-topped four-wheel drive vehicles or walking with professional guides. The opportunity to leave one’s vehicle and track game on foot is an experience rare in the national parks of Africa and in Mana Pools in particular this provides the visitor with the chance to experience all that in safety with an experienced professional guide. Other activities include night drives as well as canoeing which is organized on request.

Day 8-9: Victoria Falls

Seat-in charter flight from Kanga to Victoria Falls Airport. The flying time will be approximately 2 hours. On arrival you will be met and transferred to Gorges Lodge.
Gorges Lodge is unlike any other lodge you will ever visit, built on the edge of the Batoka Gorge, some 250 breathtaking metres above the mighty Zambezi. Gorges comprises of ten beautiful stone and thatch cottages, dotted along the Gorges edge, in front of a luscious landscaped gardens. Each individual en-suite cabin is finished beautifully and boasts a private garden and decked veranda: the ideal place to watch the sunrise or sunset over the Zambezi. You can also look on in amazement, as black eagles and lanner falcons soar overhead. Gorges Lodge is home to an incredible population of raptors, as well as a stunning array of butterflies and wild flora. Several tame bushbuck, baboon and velvet monkey also roam the grounds, in the hope of finding a treat. The main area is set in the middle of the ten chalets; teetering on the very edge of the gorge, built on a stilted decking of indigenous hard wood. The elegantly decorated lounge, dining room and bar offer extraordinary views, right over the gorge into Zambia. The lodge is close enough to the Falls for guests to enjoy all the activities the area has to offer, whilst being far enough away to create the illusion of complete isolation. It is only a 20-minute drive to the lively town, and a private shuttle service runs several times every day. Spend two nights at Gorges Lodge in a standard cottage room with en suite facilities including all meals, local brand beverages, 2 lodge activities, return Victoria Falls airport transfers, one return shuttle to Victoria Falls town per staying night..

Day 10

After breakfast, transfer by road to Victoria Falls Airport (transfer takes approximately 35 minutes) where you will connect to your international flight back home or to your next destination.
